Limiting beliefs and empowerment

Humans are natural storytellers. Stories share a lot of information and make it easier to remember leaving a lasting impression on us. The stories we grew up listening to have a huge impact on forming beliefs about ourselves and others during our formative years. We repeat these stories in our heads which later become internal narratives turning them into our beliefs and ultimately becoming our reality.


We are prone to setting limits and restrictions based on these beliefs. As you were growing up, you may have heard in various ways that you are not good enough or you will never make it which may have contributed in limiting your beliefs. A limiting belief is what you believe is true and restricts you from growing.


Limiting beliefs may be extremely hard to shake off. You may have told yourself this incompetent story about yourself multiple times and this has become your belief and ultimately your reality. It all starts from the mind as your mind is always eavesdropping on your conversation with yourself.


How do you overcome your limiting beliefs?

  • Find yourself a new Reality

  • Shake off your limited beliefs

  • Embrace the new internal narrative you have created

  • Understand your fallacies and expand your horizons


Ultimately, challenge your beliefs by asking yourself “what if the stories weren’t true?”
